The Mission of Sanctuary Counseling Center is to provide affordable counseling to vocational ministry workers and their families in Memphis.
Vision
The Vision of Sanctuary Counseling Center is to resource the local church and parachurch ministries in Memphis through personal counseling, preemptive training, and pivotal funding so that our city is transformed by the Gospel.
Personal counseling: We believe that healing occurs in relationship, so we want Sanctuary counselors to engage the client in the context of a genuine, supportive relationship.
Preemptive Training: We believe that taking the initiative is critical to our mental and emotional well being, so we want to train the local church and parachurch ministries in fundamental counseling skills.
Pivotal Funding: We believe it is important that those who provide counseling services be informed by new methods and research, so we want to support financially post graduate students who are engaged in dissertation topics that will enhance the effectiveness of ministry workers.
